Why people look for Kinsta alternatives
Kinsta runs on Google Cloud, has a clean dashboard, and its support is well liked. It does not raise your price at renewal. So why switch?
- Price per site. Kinsta’s cheapest plans cost $35 a month (or $30 a month billed yearly at $350) for just 1 WordPress install. The WP 2 plan for 2 sites costs $70 a month.
- Visit limits. The Single 35k plan allows 35,000 visits a month. Kinsta counts each unique IP in 24 hours as one visit, and overage fees apply if you go over.
- Small storage. The entry plans include 10 GB to 15 GB of storage.
- You may not need premium hosting. A small blog or a new business site can run fine on a $2 to $15 plan.
Kinsta also offers the first month free on select plans for new customers, and a 30-day money-back guarantee after any free period. That is fair, and it is worth knowing before you leave.
1. Rocket.net: best overall Kinsta alternative
Rocket.net is a managed WordPress host built around speed. Every plan includes a built-in CDN and security layer, and every plan lists unmetered visitors. That is the biggest difference from Kinsta, which counts visits.
Price: The Starter plan costs $30 a month, or $25 a month if you pay yearly. New customers pay $1 for the first month. Starter includes 1 WordPress install, 10 GB storage, 50 GB bandwidth and backups kept for 30 days. The Pro plan costs $60 a month ($50 yearly) for 3 installs. Rocket.net offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all plans except Enterprise.
- Pros: unmetered visits, $1 first month, renewal price is the same as the listed price, agency plans from $100 a month for 10 installs.
- Cons: bandwidth and storage are capped, with overage at $0.08 per GB of bandwidth and $2 per GB of storage. Still a premium price for 1 site.
Pick this if: you like Kinsta’s style but want to stop worrying about visit counts.
2. Cloudways: best for many sites on one server
Cloudways gives you a managed cloud server from providers like DigitalOcean. You can put as many WordPress sites on it as the server can handle. You pay for the server, not per site.
Price: The smallest DigitalOcean server costs $14 a month ($0.0208 an hour) with 1 GB RAM, 1 vCPU, 25 GB NVMe storage and 1 TB transfer. A 2 GB RAM server costs $28 a month. You are billed for what you use, so there is no intro price and no renewal jump. Cloudways has a 5-day free trial with no credit card, but its pricing page shows no money-back guarantee.
Deal right now: Cloudways is running a Black Friday offer of 80% off for 2 months with code BFCM802 (up to $200 off per month).
- Pros: host many sites for one price, scale the server up when you grow, pay monthly or hourly, choice of cloud providers.
- Cons: no email hosting by default, a bit more technical than Kinsta, no refund window (use the free trial to test).
Pick this if: you run 3 or more sites and Kinsta’s per-site pricing adds up too fast.
3. WP Engine: best for larger businesses
WP Engine is one of the oldest managed WordPress hosts. It is a close match to Kinsta in features and is popular with agencies and bigger brands.
Price: The Essential plan starts at $28 a month, billed yearly, so you pay $336 today. Its plans page lists 10 GB to 50 GB storage, 75 GB bandwidth and an estimated 25,000 to 400,000 visits a month depending on the size you pick. The page says first-year pricing and coupons are for new customers on Essential plans, so check the renewal price at checkout. The plans page did not show a refund window when we checked, so ask sales before you buy.
- Pros: lower entry price than Kinsta when billed yearly, strong tools for agencies, long track record.
- Cons: yearly payment for the lowest price, renewal and refund details were not on the plans page, bigger plans get expensive fast (Business starts at $400 a month).
Pick this if: you want a big, established managed host and you are fine paying for a year up front.

4. Pressable: best low-cost managed WordPress
Pressable is a managed WordPress host owned by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. It is simple, and its yearly price is lower than Kinsta’s.
Price: Signature 1 costs $20.83 a month, billed $250 a year. It includes 1 WordPress install, up to 30,000 visits a month and 20 GB storage. Signature 2 costs $37.50 a month ($450 a year) for 3 installs and 50,000 visits. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free. Pressable has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Pros: $100 a year cheaper than Kinsta’s yearly entry plan, more storage (20 GB vs 10 GB), 3 sites for $450 a year.
- Cons: visit limits still apply, with overage at $1.20 per 1,000 visits. Fewer data center choices than Kinsta.
Pick this if: you want true managed WordPress hosting at a lower yearly price.
5. SiteGround: best cheap first year with great support
SiteGround is not fully managed like Kinsta, but it is close. It runs on Google Cloud too, has its own speed and security tools, and has strong support.
Price: StartUp costs $1.99 a month for the first 12 months (prepaid), then renews at $17.99 a month. It hosts 1 website with 10 GB storage. GrowBig costs $3.99 a month, then $29.99, for unlimited websites and 50 GB storage. GoGeek costs $5.99 a month, then $44.99. SiteGround has a 30-day money-back guarantee, and right now it adds a free domain and free site transfer.
- Pros: very low first-year price during its Black Friday sale, unlimited sites on GrowBig, good support, free site transfer right now.
- Cons: big renewal jump (GrowBig goes from $3.99 to $29.99 a month), shared hosting resources, not as hands-off as Kinsta.
Pick this if: you want a cheap first year and good support, and you will plan for the renewal price.

6. Hostinger: lowest total cost on a long plan
Hostinger is the budget pick. Its WordPress hosting is easy to use and comes with a CDN and backups. If Kinsta is far over your budget, this is the cheapest way to get a solid WordPress site online.
Price: The Premium plan costs $1.99 a month on a 48-month term, so you pay $95.52 up front. It renews at $10.99 a month and hosts 3 websites with 20 GB storage. The next plan costs $2.79 a month (renews at $16.99) for unlimited websites and 50 GB NVMe storage. Cloud Startup costs $7.99 a month (renews at $25.99) with 100 GB NVMe storage. Hostinger has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Pros: $95.52 covers 4 years of Premium hosting, which is less than 3 months of Kinsta. Easy dashboard. Black Friday sale is live now.
- Cons: the lowest price needs a 48-month term, renewals are much higher, and it is shared hosting, not managed hosting like Kinsta.
Pick this if: you have a small or new site and you want the lowest total cost.

What about Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare?
Modern platforms like Vercel, Netlify and Cloudflare Pages are made for static sites and JavaScript apps. They do not run normal WordPress with PHP and MySQL. If your site is WordPress, stick with a host on this list. If you are building a Next.js or AI-made app instead, see our Vercel alternatives guide.
How we picked
- We only listed hosts that run WordPress well and can replace Kinsta for a real site.
- We checked each host’s official pricing page on November 7, 2026, for the first-term price, renewal price and refund window.
- If we could not verify a price on the official page, we left that host out or said what was missing. DreamHost DreamPress and Nexcess were left out because we could not read current prices on their pages.
- We ranked by value for a typical Kinsta customer: speed, support, renewal cost and how many sites you get. Affiliate links never decide the order.
