Introducing Google Domains: Invite-Only Beta As Of Now

Now this is something I’m afraid of, because I’m not sure whether it is just a registration service or a better way for Google to know us further. Recently Google revealed about their invite-only-beta service – Google Domains.

Google Domains – A Better Way To Register Domains?

On their Google+ Page they stated that, “Google Domains isn’t fully-featured yet, but we’re giving a small group of people the ability to buy and transfer domains through it and send feedback on their experience. (You currently need an invitation code to do so, sorry!) We want input on all the ways we can help make finding, buying, transferring and managing a domain a simple and transparent experience.”

Google Domains

Google is not providing you any hosting space but they tied up with reputed brands like Squarespace, Wix, Weebly and Shopify. If you have an invite code then you can log in and purchase your desired available domain name. You can also transfer your existing domain name from your previous registrar to Google. I was really impressed with the features they mentioned, such as free private registration, branded email addresses, simple domain management tools, etc.

You can request for a Google Domains beta invite here.
