HostGator.com Vs HostGator.in: Which One to Choose?

HostGator.com Vs HostGator.in

HostGator was founded in 2002, and they started operations in India in 2011. They have two distinct websites for International users and Indian users which are HostGator.com and HostGator.in.

Indian People often get confused whether is there any difference between HostGator.com and HostGator.in? And which one to choose?

If you are confused between HostGator US and HostGator India hosting, read on. In this post, I will be sharing the key differences between them which will help you to choose one.

The three most important deciding factors are – Server Location, Payment Options, and Pricing.

[thrive_headline_focus title=”Server Location” orientation=”center”]

Server Location affects the site speed. If your server is located in India, your site will be loaded fastly in India than other countries. As Google considers page loading speed as a ranking factor, server location affects SEO. So you need to choose a server based on your audience.

  • HostGator.com Server Location: United States
  • HostGator.in Server Location: India and Singapore.

If you are going to create a site for the only Indian audience, you should go for HostGator.in. Especially, when you’ve bought a .in domain name.

But if you target the international audience, it’s better to go with HostGator.com. You can make your site faster on everywhere in the world by using a CDN service like MaxCDN.

[thrive_toggles_group”][thrive_toggles title=”What is CDN Service?” no=”1/2″] CDN means Content Delivery Network. A CDN service stores a cached version of your contents in multiple geographical locations to minimize the distance between the visitors and server location. [/thrive_toggles][/thrive_toggles_group]

[thrive_text_block color=”note” headline=””] HostGator.com lets you try its servers and services for just one cent for one month. You can get started with HostGator for just $0.01. All you have to do is use the coupon code “HL1CENTHOSTING” while signing up.[/thrive_text_block]

[thrive_headline_focus title=”Payment Options” orientation=”center”]

HostGator.com only accepts PayPal and Credit Card payment. It’s a big problem if you don’t have access to credit card or Paypal. On that case, HostGator.in is your best solution.

  • HostGator.com Payment Options: Credit or Debit Card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover Network, American Express, JCB) and Paypal.
  • HostGator.in Payment Options: Cash, Check, Money Order, Western Union, Bank Wire, Credit Card and Paypal.

If you are a student or under 18 who don’t have a credit card or Paypal account, you can buy hosting from HostGator India. It accepts various payment options.

However, if you can make an international transaction, you should buy hosting from HostGator.com.

[thrive_headline_focus title=”Pricing” orientation=”center”]

The web hosting plans of HostGator.in is cheaper than HostGator.com. But the difference is very nominal. So I’d recommend you not to consider pricing as a deciding factor.

However, if you are going to buy hosting from HostGator.com, use the coupon code “HL1CENTHOSTING” to get your first month hosting only for one cent.

  1. One thing About Hostgator.in is, their support team is not as fast as Hostgator.com.
If you try to contact them, you’ll have to wait for 2-3 minutes or even 8-10 minutes.

Same does not happen with hostgator.com, their customer service is fast. you drop a message to them, they will get back to you within a minute.

  2. Yes, Google Webmaster Tools teach you to target geographic areas BUT Google has also confessed many times that speed is a key factor to SEO THUS hosting in the target country produces the fastest speed THUS a noticeable climb in search engine. Of course, quality pages, seo tactics — ect. must still be in effect. Backlinks from similar sites incountry can help too!

  3. I recently bought a .in hosting (business unlimited), is it gonna affect my seo if I run a blog targeting global audience . Or if there are a couple of sites on same hosting that targets different geo-based traffic, should I change the hosting for each one of them in terms of organic seo or geographical location of target traffic?
